Kloka
Privacy notice
What Kloka records, why, who can see it, and your choices. Version 1.0 · August 2026.
What this notice covers
Kloka is a voluntary, AI-assisted teaching pilot. This notice says what the platform records about you, why, who can see it, and what your choices are.
What is recorded
- Your account: name, email address, and sign-in events (time and network address), kept for account security.
- Your learning activity: the lessons you open, quizzes and practice you take, questions you ask the AI tutor, and feedback you submit. This is what personalisation runs on.
- AI interactions: your questions to the tutor and the AI's replies are processed by a language model to generate the response, and are logged so the system can maintain your learning memory and so the pilot can be audited.
Where it is processed
The platform and its data are hosted in the EU. The AI models used for tutoring and content generation run under the same EU residency posture; your IP address is never sent to third-party lookup services.
Who sees what
- You see your own learning map, history and practice.
- Your lecturer sees teaching signals for their own course: aggregated cohort progress, anonymised feedback, and per-student learning indicators for the students they teach.
- The platform administrator sees accounts and platform operations (sign-ins, spend, content-quality checks) — not your coursework, scores or tutor conversations.
- Nobody's verbatim feedback is shown with their name attached.
Your choices
- Taking part is optional; you can withdraw at any time without any effect on your marks.
- You can set a display name so your real name does not appear on social surfaces such as leaderboards.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for your account and its data to be deleted, by contacting the administrator. Deletion requests are honoured within 30 days.
Retention
Learning-activity data is kept for the duration of the pilot and up to 90 days after it ends, then deleted or anonymised. Account data is deleted with your account.
